The local Ladies@Lunch 4573 who meet once a month at the Coolum Beach Hotel to offer support to other business women in the region were delighted to have all three of the women who are running as candidates at the upcoming local government election for both Division 8 and 9 at their meeting held on Saturday March 7.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Janet Francis said that having the three candidates join the ladies was especially fitting given it was the weekend of International Women's Day.
"Maria Suarez, Kathryn Hyman and Angela Dunbavan shared candidly their vision for our area and I have to say all three ladies are clearly driven by a passion to make a difference in their community," Janet said.
"They also demonstrated a great respect for each other and a comradery that is not often seen in politics - our area will do well with any of these three amazing women if they are given the opportunity to represent their division."
Ladies@Lunch 4573 is a diverse group of like minded business women from the Coolum Beach and surrounding areas who meet on the first Saturday of each month at the Coolum Beach Hotel to network, offer support and socialise. Their next get together is Saturday April 4 from 11.45am. There's no joining or membership fees and the group is inclusive and open to women from all backgrounds.
For anyone who would like to come along and join the ladies for a glass of champagne, they can pop in at the next meeting or get in touch via facebook at ladies@lunch4573
